Variables

You can store variables globally, so all TPT project files of the current TPT installation can handle the variables.

The following icons can be used to create or delete global variables.

	creates a new global variable
	deletes the selected global variable

Click Create a new variable. Enter a variable name and a value you want to assign. You can, for example, specify a variable for a basic directory and reuse the variable name in the Directory field of the Execution Configuration dialog. Select Show in report to display the variables in the Overview report.

Project-specific variables take precedence over global variables with the same name. The message overrides global value <value> then appears in the Value column of the TPT Tool Preferences dialog, see Project Preferences - Variables.
